Interested in community development, meeting people from across campus and attending great events? As important members of the UBC community, we love it when students get involved in the UBC Community United Way Campaign! You can support the campaign by attending and promoting events, volunteering with us, organising your own event, and connecting with the United Way. In whatever way you choose to get involved, we’re excited to meet you!
Volunteer
Volunteering with United Way on campus is a great way to meet new people, get involved in the community, have an awesome time with fellow students, and benefit a great cause! Almost any event can be structured to benefit United Way – ice cream socials in residence, pancake breakfast, fashion shows, formal dinners, the list goes on and on!
If you already host an event which you think can benefit United Way, or you have an idea for a new event, please contact united.way@ubc.ca or 604-822-8929.
Events
Even if your best intentions are there, school can get busy and you may not have time to plan your own event. That’s okay – you can attend one of ours! Many faculties and departments across campus host events in support of United Way. Most of these events are inexpensive and all of them are a lot of fun! Check out the right-hand menu for events coming up on campus, or check out our events page for descriptions of each event.
